About:
Tim Walker is one of the world's leading British fashion photographers who shoots for Vouge, W and Love magazines. Similarly to Solve Sundsbo's photography, Tim Walker creates very imaginative and dreamy photos. He creates photos that relate to old British culture for example, the way he dresses his subjects in his photography and the sorts of scenes that he makes. As well as telling a fantasy-like story with his photos which seem very childlike and are extremely creative. Tim Walker makes the viewer feel as though they are watching and entire film from just one picture as most of his images contain many props. He puts a lot of objects that you wouldn't expect to see side by side with each other for example, a flying saucer in a horse-race alongside some dogs, which can seem very surprising as well as some very dangerous things such as a crocodile lying on top of a woman or a lion next to a woman. Most of the time, Tim Walker uses very big objects that take up a large space in the photo or many of the same object to create repetition. This is one of things I like about his work as it makes the images seem very playful and very aesthetic whilst at the same time, not making much sense at first glance.
