ABOUT:
Frank Shepard Fairey is an American contemporary street artist, graphic designer, activist, illustrator and founder of OBEY Clothing and was born on February 15th, 1970. Frank became widely known during the 2008 U.S. presidential election for his series of posters supporting Barack Obama including the the iconic "Hope" portrait. Fairey's work combines elements of graffiti, pop art and business art. His work has been seen in galleries around the world and even in museums.
Fairey uses bold lines and similar colours in his work such as blue, red, white and black which makes his art iconic and very easy to distinguish. He also deliberately makes his images look vintage by using off-white colours as well as making them quite dark which I find appealing.

This is an image I created in Photoshop inspired by Shepard Fairey. I used a photo of Al Pacino from the movie "Scarface" as he is well known and I thought he looked iconic. I used colours directly from a Shepard Fairey image and added a quote that had related to the character and the movie as it relates to how the character had been chasing money and power.
