About:
Ade Santora is a conceptual photographer who was born in the 80s who lives and works in Indonesia. He works in a private company as a senior graphic designer and freelance photographer.
Santora had learned mobile photography and uses the applications on his phone to create the images. He takes photos of human portraits and combines them with landscapes, macro objects and abstract objects. Some of his photos are sometimes quite harsh as he manipulates rigid and sharp object onto people making them seem almost scary. Whereas is some of his other photos he combines nature with people which could be to show the relationship between us and nature.
Santora's images are incredibly detailed and aesthetically pleasing. Most of his photos contain very deep and dark colours which brings the details of the nature in his photos out more. There are hardly any structural shapes in his photos as they are mostly of people and landscapes so, there are a lot of free formed shapes. He uses most of the space in the photos he takes which usually focuses on the one subject in his photos.
Personally, I really like Santora's photography. His style of photography is one that my theme relates to and one that I can replicate. I enjoy the detail he puts into his images and the way he merges multiple photos together.

In this first shoot I wanted to capture the bright nature that I saw whilst in Greenwich park. I took these photos during the daytime to capture as much detail as possible. Which also meant that I used a low f-stop as there was already natural lighting. I had edited these images on Photoshop similarly to Stephen Criscolo making them seem surreal and dream-like. I did this by changing the lighting in some areas of the photos to make them glow which I thought brought out the colours of the plants more. I did find this quite hard to do and it could have turned out better so I would have to practise using Photoshop.
I intend to use this photoshoot in my multiple exposure manipulation in Photoshop which links to the photographer Ade Santora and find a way to merge people and objects.

This is the image I created based on the style of Ade Santora where I used the double exposure technique in Photoshop and converted both images to black and white because I felt that it was clearer to see the nature aspects through the face when it was black and white rather than in colour. I felt like this image hadn't portrayed the style of Ade Santora in the way that I wanted it to so I will have to practice the multiple exposure technique on some other photos that I have taken. This image was created with intentions to make a surreal image that merged the natural aspects of the trees with a person similar to what Ade Santora has done on some of his images.
This is the image I created based on Ade Santora and was further developed from my previous image. I felt as though this image expressed what I was trying to express more than the original photo as I was able to use the multiple exposure technique better due to experience and used a different photo of a person from a different angle as I felt the previous one did not suit the alignment of the buildings I used. In this image it is clearer to see my intentions which were to merge the natural aspects with the artificial aspects and create an image where it seemed as though she was in a artificial setting surrounded by man-made things that conflicted with the nature that she was made up of. This idea that I came up with was inspired by looking at Ade Santora's images which had a lot of nature that was merged with people in different ways.
